Category 5, inspired by a true story, is centered around a young girl, Imani Richardson, retelling her story after enduring Hurricane Irma in St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands. Experiencing the aftermath of the hurricane that occurred in 2017, this film shines a light on mental health and the efforts that were organized to assist the residents. Finally willing to speak about her trauma during a therapy session that the government provided to the community, Imani is reminded of the struggles and hardships she and her family faced.
