Born and bred Harlem Detective Shirley La Moore partners up with a more holistic partner, Detective Roscoe “Ross” Jenkins, to protect citizens and patrol the streets of SoHo NYC. They get their inside information from the departments fashionable computer programming specialist Claire Beare and spar with their no-nonsense boss, Sergeant William D. Richardson.

These two so-called Detectives give a feeling of Columbo meets Lucy and Ethel in I Love Lucy. With a banter similar to Fred and Lamont Sanford in Sanford and Son. A crime is solved in each episode with a lingering search for the initial crime that brought the two detectives together.
