Unknown circumstances have caused a loss of the world's society and its people. Aaron and Mina find themselves in an adventure together after being stranded alone as the last people on Earth. While Mina's attitude is to protect her friend Aaron and all costs from the stressors and anxieties of survival, Aaron feels a need to protect Mina to avoid any further loss. In "The Two of Us", we get to see a slice of the duo's relationship and lifestyle. Aaron's worries cause the two to take a trek out to a faraway town to search for food, as their supplies were running low. Mina helps Aaron make the most of the adventure, despite their unluckiness.
