HEAR MY VOICE: Born Black In America is a documentary and book series. This series give voices to the American enslaved Africans, as spoken through their descendants. This introductory episode is a broad scope that gives a foundation for understanding systemic racism and its correlation from slavery to the present. Through the enslaved Africans, their descendants speak to how systemic racism shows up today. Each episode of this series will focus on particular themes. Some of the future episodes are "Fatherless, The Black Church, Legislative Race Theory, to Historic Black Colleges and Universities: Where do we go from here." This documentary series is based on the book to the same name.
