Bishop, a young woman struggling with depression, is reluctantly pulled out of bed by the different voices in her head: the motivating Muse Bishop and the anxious Conservative Bishop. Obsessed with The Matrix, Bishop frames everything that happens to her as related to the movie, finding meaning and guidance in its themes. As she navigates her day, she grapples with her inner voices, contemplating the challenges of interacting with others. Her journey takes her through the streets of Austin, ultimately leading her to an improv open mic night. On stage, Bishop's unconventional approach causes chaos, angering one performer while another tries to connect with her on a deeper level. Improvable Players is a surreal and introspective short film that explores social anxiety and collaboration.
