“Road to Legacy" is a 10-episode docuseries detailing the journey to fame of 10 indie musical artists in Taiwan. Each episode features a first-hand look at these artists’ struggle behind the scenes as they prepare to shine on the stage and build their very own musical legacy.
Known as the enfant terrible of the Malaysian music scene, Namewee is a songwriter who writes satirical and defiant lyrics. But what’s the man behind the big persona and the sharp pen like? In this documentary, the musician shows his sensitive side. He reveals that he has always been a free-spirit who does what he believes to be right. His controversial career has seen him have numerous run-ins with the authorities, but he has never wavered from his goal: To strike deep chords with his humor and clever satire. Just as his most recent concert at the Legacy venue in Taiwan has suffered postponements, so it is the turmoil and backlash that has built him to become one of the freest souls in Asia.
